Cocoon Studio is a small, cozy, community-centered Yoga • Pilates • Fitness space opening in Ditmas Park, right in Newkirk Plaza.
Created to support movement, well-being, and connection, Cocoon is a place where everybody - All ages, all levels, all identities - are welcome. Inspired by the spirit of Ditmas Park itself, we aim to reflect the heart of the neighborhood: community-oriented, supportive, and a true melting pot of cultures and stories.
Cocoon offers a wide range of movement-based activities designed to meet the needs of our community.
Our yoga classes welcome all levels and interests, including Vinyasa (beginner, open-level, and advanced; energizing or powerful), Gentle Yoga (mat and chair), Ashtanga, Yoga Nidra, Restorative Yoga, and meditation.
Beyond yoga, we offer mat Pilates and a variety of fitness classes, including Gentle Movement, Strength class, Hiit mat, Stretch class, Lower Body, Upper Body, and Body Sculpt.
We also provide yoga for children, with additional movement classes for kids coming soon. On weekends, we plan to host workshops focused on parenting and movement to support families in our community.
Because local connections are at the heart of Cocoon, about half of our teachers come from the neighborhood, reinforcing our commitment to creating a welcoming, community-centered space.

All classes at Cocoon are taught mindfully and adaptably, with a focus on alignment, self-discovery, and holistic wellness. We encourage students to listen to their bodies, explore their own flow, and move in ways that feel right for them—supporting both strength and ease, effort and presence.
Above all, we value diversity and are proud to offer a wide range of practices. All classes and services are led by certified, experienced instructors who prioritize safety, inclusivity, and quality of care.
